My Journey

Hi there! I’m Charmian, and at 34, I was living the dream as an SVP Director of Strategy in sunny LA, with a beautiful beachside home and big plans for the future.

But life threw me some curveballs. I faced single motherhood, lost my job, and had to deal with immigration uncertainties. Instead of letting it get me down, I decided to make a bold move. I packed up and relocated to Germany to start fresh with my own company, MilesFurther, inspired by my amazing son, Miles, and my passion for helping others.

MilesFurther’s journey is reflected in its evolving logo. It started as a symbol of growth and has transformed into footsteps that represent shared progress.

Growing up in Hamburg and the UK taught me the importance of psychological safety and supportive networks. These are the foundations for reaching our full potential.

My story is all about chasing dreams and believing in ourselves. It’s a reminder that with resilience and hope, we can all go MilesFurther.
